Read the guidelines on the following pages carefully before you begin taking registrations even if you have been through the process before.

 PLEASE NOTE:

• Do not register someone for a basket without his or her permission. Once registered, a family cannot switch their registration to another donor. In an effort to be kind, you may create a difficult situation for that person/family, another organization, and yourself.

• Moisson Montreal clients: Submit your registrations for verification via email, according to our guidelines. Once we return our report, you must communicate directly with Moisson.

• We can only check registrations for Christmas BASKET beneficiaries. Please do NOT submit the names of your organization's community meal or holiday party participants.

• If you don't have funding in place, don't register people for baskets. Should your plans fall through, it may be too late for your beneficiaries to register elsewhere, leaving them with no basket at all.

• Register your organization as an Index client by filling out the registration form. We will update and activate an existing file for the season or open a new one if this is your first season with the Index.

• Pay the basic user registration fee of $50, due November 1st of each year (see information below)

• Follow the guidelines for how to process beneficiary registrations and submit them to the Index correctly, as indicated on the pages which follow.

• Submit your registrations (addresses and names), by email, on the form provided. Follow the link below to download the form.

• Read the report we return.

• Follow-up on incomplete or duplicate registrations with the family and/or with the other organization in question.

• Decide which families you will provide with a basket. Note that our job is not to tell you who you should help, but simply to provide information so that you can make informed decisions about who to help.
