Quebec Breakfast Club - mornings

Every morning throughout Quebec, the Breakfast Club brings 15,000 children two essential elements to start their school day on the right foot: a nutritious breakfast and a nourishing environment.

The Club is currently seeking 4 volunteers per school, per morning, for various schools in the South-West district of Montreal.  Volunteers work from 6:45 to 8:45 a.m., before classes, helping prepare and serve breakfast to children. The Club's volunteers can't count the number of precious smiles they get every day from the kids, or how many great friendships they strike up with their colleagues.

Contact Connie Petosa at 514.338.9900.

Le Centre d’intégration à la vie active (CIVA) - Tuesdays evenings

CIVA’s mission is to sponsor, examine, promote and develop activity programs to help the physically disabled become full-fledged members and active participants in their community.

The centre is currently seeking groups of 3 to 5 volunteers to assist swimmers during the casual swim time, every Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm at Joseph-Charbonneau swimming pool (Jarry station).  Volunteers will be welcome to greet visitors, to help them in the changing room and in the swimming pool during the activity.

Contact Nora Jean-Baptiste at 514-485-7814.

Children's Care International - flexible

Children's Care International (CCI) has made it its mission to come to help children who are victims of exploitation by providing education, health and psychological care, career training, no matter the race, sex or religion of these children. In Canada, CCI is working in order to increase public awareness about problems in relation with child labour. We need volunteers to help us by providing a support in logistic organization of conferences as well as promotion and sale of tickets for these conferences. These conferences aim at triple objectives:

1- Sensitize people about the fight against child exploitation.
2- Give suggestions to the persons who want to get involved in this fight.
3- Participate in the financing of CCI so as to enable the pursuit of its mission.

The group of volunteers can hold a conference for their contacts, their personal and professional networks or a group (youth club, university, employees of a company etc), all these aspects should have been defined beforehand with the person in charge of the volunteers at CCI. It is important to note that the lecturer is a member of CCI.
