Haïti needs volunteers!

If you would like to help out with the humanitarian relief efforts underway in Haiti, please follow the links below:
- According to a broadcast on Radio-Canada on January 14th, the Québec Division of the Red Cross is co-ordinating local relief efforts intended to benefit Haiti. Click here for more information.
- The Center for International Studies and Cooperation is currently organizing a relief plan for Haiti. Click here to link to their site.
- You can also contact Services Québec (L'Organisation de la sécurité civile du Québec (OSCQ) to put your name on a list of those willing to help out. Priority is being given to health professionals and and people with peace-keeping experience. Click here to link to the press release (in French only).
- The team at Handicap International is overwhelmed by the sheer number of injured, many requiring amputations. They are working on a long-term action plan. Click here for more information.
- Local organization, the Maison d'Haïti (Haiti House), needs volunteers who speak Haitian Creole! They are overwhelmed and are looking for people willing to help those recently arrived in Montreal acclimatize and navigate the ins-and outs of immigration.
