New face at the VBM

A new face has joined the VBM's team since the beginning of September 2007. But... is it really a new face? You decide, since Valerie has been a volunteer at the Bureau since 2002! While completing her Masters of Science in administration, Valerie oriented her studies towards non-profit management and wrote her thesis on the subject of volunteer motivation.

Valerie has a well-rounded background in the non-profit sector. As a volunteer, she acted as a placement counsellor, counsellor in human resources and member of a board of directors. She also worked professionally as a volunteer coordinator, program developer, recruiter of international volunteers and, most recently, as interim director of a community organization providing services to new immigrants.

Valerie Millette joins the VBM's team as a counsellor in volunteer program development. As part of her mandate, she will be leading the French-language workshops in the "Essentials of Managing Volunteer Resources" series.
