Group volunteering

The Volunteer Bureau of Montreal is often contacted by corporations or other organizations wanting to get their employees or members involved in the community through a group volunteer activity. These groups vary in size, from 4 to 150 people (!), and in how much time they have to offer.

If your organization is interested in welcoming one of these groups, please visit the Recruitment and referral of volunteers. For further information, please e-mail Mélanie Ferreira or give her a call at 514.842.3351 (extension 230). We also invite you to consult our list of current group volunteering opportunities.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can my organization propose to groups of volunteers?
Groups of volunteers are open to many different suggestions for volunteer activities. Think of the ways you could include a group in your regular activities (e.g., preparing a week's worth of vegetables for Meals-on-Wheels) or your special events (e.g., welcoming and guiding guests during your year-end show). Or you could get a group of volunteers to do the painting or cleaning jobs you've been postponing for so long!

How can I let groups know my needs?
It's simple: just fill out the request form and fax it to us. We'll be happy to post it on our Web site!
