    Female volunteers needed for a variety of tasks: have conversations with the women; help around the house to make their stay as profitable and comfortable as possible; cook, clean, and watch TV with them; give mothers much needed respite time; play with children; take care of the children while mothers go for important appointments; help workers in the office if needed. Volunteers' suggestions on how to help will be most welcome. Requirements: be 21 and over; enjoy playing with children of all ages; enjoy conversations with women; be enthusiastic with a positive attitude, comfortable in a community setting, bilingual, flexible, reliable, and punctual; be open to cultural diversity; be willing to devote a set amount of time regularly; be compassionate, having an empathy with the plight of a particular person or situation and excellent listening skills. The organization's primary mandate is to offer shelter, information, counselling and follow-up services to women who are experiencing or who have experienced any form of spousal abuse.   • Driver and movers needed. Do you own a pick up and want to help make a difference? Auberge Transition is a shelter for women, with or without children, victims of intimate partner violence. The shelter is currently looking for volunteers to assist the women once they leave the shelter. Pick up and delivery of furniture and boxes from the shelter to their new homes. Assist with the assembly of some furniture. Expenses for fuel will be covered.
