Long-term care facility for the members of the Jewish community living with a loss of their physical or cognitive autonomy.
Volunteers with well-behaved, socialized pets are needed to join the Pet Visiting Program. Pet visitors share their pets and companionship with residents in the geriatric centre. Residents look forward to the visits: reliability and consistency are very important. Pets will be screened and vaccination records are required. | Place of work: On location

  • The Jewish Eldercare Centre is a public long-term care facility, that is home to 320 residents living with loss of autonomy. We are looking for kind and compassionate volunteers to help with our Dining Assistance Program from 4:30 - 6:00pm. Volunteers are asked to commit to one meal per week for a minimum of 3 months. Activities take place on weekdays, weekday evenings, and Sundays, and include a Breakfast Club, gardening, baking, concerts, physical games, bingo, Tea & Talk, bowling, knitting, trivia, movies, painting, and more.
