Programs and services to improve the quality of life for people 50 and over in the Little Burgundy and South-West sectors of Montreal.
Friendly, caring, patient and creative volunteers, with strong interpersonal skills, are needed to visit seniors in their homes in South-West Montreal who are in need of companionship. Volunteers will provide support and encourage them to participate in ongoing activities.   • Volunteer drivers with a car are needed to drive clients from the southwest Montreal area to downtown hospitals or, on occasion, to other locations. It may be a one-way ride to drop the client off or may require staying with them and driving them back home. Driving expenses are reimbursed at 50¢ per km. Volunteers must own a car, hold a valid driver's licence, have an excellent driving record, be responsible and patient and be able to to assist the client in and out of the vehicle. The organization will provide maps and driving directions, and general guidelines to follow.
