Saturday Rehabilitation Program: We are looking for volunteers to accompany, motivate, and support our patients in rehabilitation following a stroke. Time: 9:30am-12:30 or 12:30-3:30pm. Orientation, training, and supervision are provided by our rehabilitation staff. Required spoken languages: English and French (other languages an asset) Required skills: patience, compassion, positive mindset, at ease in a hospital environment. | Place of work: On location

  • Volunteers needed to assist with recreational afternoon activities for patients in rehabilitation. Activities include; bingo, movie or game night, walking program, exercises, and cognitive stimulation. Volunteers would also be responsible for assisting with transporting patients from bedrooms to activity rooms. An intermediate level of English and French is required. Tasks: escort patients with their wheelchairs to the rehabilitation department and assist them with their exercises as directed by the physio- or occupational therapists.
