Shelter Movers (#32432)

Shelter Movers
Shelter Movers is a national, volunteer-powered charitable organization that provides moving and storage services at no cost to women and children experiencing abuse. We collaborate with local businesses and community agencies in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver and Halifax to help families transition with their belongings to a life free of abuse. We are hoping to expand to provide services to the Montreal area.
We are looking for 4-6 passionate individuals who are interested in joining a team that is working towards the establishment of a Montreal chapter of Shelter Movers. This would involve replicating Shelter Mover’s existing service delivery model (with support and guidance from Shelter Movers staff in other cities). This team will ideally be comprised of a variety of skills and backgrounds. Skill and experience in the following areas would be considered an asset: Project management, research and report writing, eexperience or interest in the Violence Against Women. Survivor experience, volunteer recruitment and management. Fundraising / Sales ; Bookkeeping ; Social media management and content creation ; Public speaking / media interviews and event planning. We are requesting that interested applicants be willing to commit to a minimum 6 month term, to be able to see the creation of the chapter through to its opening. | Place of work: online/ téléphone
