Companies help Munich

(En anglais seulement)
In the fall of 2009, a number of high-profile Munich companies came together to form a corporate volunteering network. Initiated by Munich-based Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, the network's motto is "Companies help Munich." The initiative aims at sharing experience and coordinating skills and expertise for the good of the community. The main focus is supporting projects that address needs specific to the region.

"For us, like most businesses in the wider Munich area, it's only natural to accept social and community responsibility as a company," says Professor Dr. Burkhard Schwenker, CEO of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. "The Corporate Volunteering Network, with its motto 'Companies help Munich,' is designed to help bundle the initiatives in the region and make the best out of many individual projects by working together. We're delighted about any new members and can assist those firms that would like to help but are worried about not having sufficient resources to handle a project on their own." The network already includes a number of prestigious companies based in Munich - for instance, the BMW Group with its Eberhard von Kuenheim Foundation, BayernLB, Deutsche Bank, E.ON Energie, GlaxoSmithKline Deutschland, KPMG, Microsoft Deutschland, Munich RE with its Schinzler Foundation, Pramerica, Timberland and Telefónica O2 Germany.
