Do you know the VBM volunteers?

December 8th 2022
Do you know the VBM volunteers?

Did you know that, since last April, over 885 hours of volunteer work have been done by our volunteers? And did you know that, this year alone, 46 volunteers gave their time to our organization?

For International Volunteer Day, we want to showcase all the work they do every day to help us!

Our receptionists

They are the ones who answer questions from people who want to volunteer. They are also the first voice of the VBM, remotely and in our offices. Thank you to our 7 volunteer receptionists!

Our volunteer placement counselors

They guide people wishing to volunteer through personalized and continuous support. Thank you to our 8 volunteer placement counselors!

Our Skills-based Volunteers

Whether for translation, video editing, graphics and more, our skills-based volunteers also help promote volunteerism by participating in our various projects. A very special thank you to those who helped with the VBM’s 85th anniversary as well as to all 14 volunteers who gave time for specific projects this year!

Our board members

This core of fire, made up of 9 people with multiple assets, constantly brings their expertise to contribute to the influence and development of the VBM. A very special thank you to these committed and caring members!

Our volunteers from the FrancisAction project

They contributed in bringing this beautiful project to life one last time, which offered allophones the possibility to practice French with a volunteer to then integrate their own first volunteering experience. Thank you to our 9 volunteers for completing the FrancisAction project!

To thank its volunteers for all the help they bring to our organization, the VBM invited them to an evening of games at the Randolph pub for the 2022 International Volunteers Day! Here’s a look back on this memorable evening :)

We were also able to thank them thanks to our loyal partners (The Montreal Alouettes, the Montreal Canadiens, the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, Oasis Immersion, the Pigeonnier TV and the Théâtre Gesú) who offer us complimentary tickets every year for various activities to show their appreciation.

We are blessed to be part of such a beautiful community of people of all ages and backgrounds with a common passion: to help others!

A huge thank you for your involvement, your generosity and all the heart you put into it. You are essential to us!!
